With Saturday Marking Just 10 Days Until Florida’s Voter Registration Deadline, OFA-Florida Will Host Multiply Your Voice Day of Action With Events Across the Sunshine State
With Saturday marking just 10 days until the October 9th voter registration deadline, OFA-Florida will celebrate the occasion with its 100th office opening and over 1,000 grassroots events in the Sunshine State as part of the “Multiply Your Voice” Day of Action.
“Floridians are fired up to re-elect President Obama so we can continue working to move this country forward. Supporters and volunteers from across the state are talking to their friends and neighbors about President Obama’s record and vision for an economy built to last and accomplishments fighting for middle class families. And with the October 9th voter registration deadline quickly approaching, our grassroots army will be working to ensure Floridians can make their voice heard on Election Day,” said Ashley Walker, Obama for America Florida State Director. As OFA-FL opens its 100th field office since the campaign started in Fall 2011, a network of supporters who are committed to reelecting President Obama will work to ensure that Floridians know they must register voters and build enthusiasm from the ground up. To celebrate this milestone, OFA-FL has set a goal to register 10,000 Floridians to vote and hold over 1,000 grassroots events on Saturday.
From now and until Election Day, OFA-FL supporters are going block-by-block and neighborhood-by-neighborhood to show the President that Floridians will have his back this fall. Through trainings, planning sessions, house parties and phone banks, supporters of all backgrounds are active every day to ensure Floridians know how President Obama is fighting to protect the progress we’ve made together in moving this country forward.
