Pinellas taps Hillsborough official to fill new post

Carl Harness will leave Hillsborough County government to become an assistant county administrator under Pinellas County Administrator Bob LaSala. His job starts in November. He replaces the retiring Elithia Stanfield.

Harness was among top officials who received raises, drawing a backlash and ultimately playing into Pat Bean's firing as county administrator. He asked to have the raise rescinded and pay back the increase he had received, saying it was "the right thing to do."  Read more at tampabay.com.
