Remington College-Tampa Campus will offer complimentary back-to-school haircuts for children this summer. Parents can bring in children ages 17 and under for a complimentary haircut provided by instructors and students in the Remington College-Tampa Campus cosmetology school. The Lego Robotics Summer Camp at the YWCA, 8/2-8/6, captures the interest of teen girls by following the current trend of robotic applications used throughout the entertainment media. Learn About Government from the Inside Out
Applications are being accepted for the ninth annual Citizen's Academy, Clearwater 101. This 10 week interactive program is a unique, educational experience for Clearwater residents interested in city affairs. Sessions are led by elected officials, department directors and city staff who share information about the city's operations and key issues facing the city today. Participants must attend at least eight of the ten sessions in order to graduate at a November City Council meeting. The program will be Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8:30 p.m., September 7 to November 9 and is open to all Clearwater residents.
