Summer Internship Program at Tuskegee University
The target group is rising junior and senior undergraduate students who are interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM fields), with emphasis on science and technology. The program features 10 weeks of intensive research experiences in fields ranging from agriculture and animal sciences to epidemiology, cancer biology and infectious diseases. The program also features peer mentoring, seminars, ethics workshops, and an Introduction to Research course for which they recieve 3 hours of college credit. The students are reimbursed for travel and are paid $450.00 a week for each of the 10 weeks in the program. Application review will start on March 15, 2010. The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Neighborhood Family Center has openings in its after-school educational enrichment program for youth 9-14 years of age. The goal of the program is to supplement the learning day with rich after-school activities that stimulate the mind and encourage a love of learning.
