PT Position as a Summer Youth Program Coordinator
Program Description: The Computer Mentors Group STEM Corps Summer Program is seeking a program coordinator to assist in running a computer summer camp for high school aged youth. The position is part-time and temporary for a 6-week period beginning June 3rd and running for 6 weeks. Perfect for a college student. Role: This position will be the lead “go to” person for the summer STEM Corps Program. The way the program works is that students will earn a Microsoft user certification, and then work on a technology project for a local non-profit. Projects can include websites, videos, e-marketing, and Access database projects, but at least one project will include a simple phone application. Apply today for a $1,000 scholarship! Award will be given the beginning of the fall semester. To be eligible and apply you must do the following:
- Complete a scholarship, two letters of recommendation and 500 word essay by April 30, 2013
- Currently be enrolled (or have been accepted) in a full-time undergrad or graduate business program in an accredited college or university
- For currently enrolled college students you must be a member of the National Black MBA Association. If selected for the scholarship, membership fee of $60 will be deducted from award if recipient is not a member.

Pinellas County Summer Camps at Brooker Creek Preserve & Weedon Island Preserve
The Pinellas County summer schedule includes a Herpetology Camp, Wildlife Ecology Camp and Archaeology Camp for children ages 7 to 11 at Weedon Island Preserve. Herpetology Camp participants will explore the fascinating world of amphibians and reptiles through close encounters with a variety of animals, including tortoises, frogs, lizards and snakes. Wildlife Ecology Camp participants will learn about the ecology of Florida’s wildlife and natural habitats through hands-on activities, classroom sessions and guest presentations. The camps will be led by wildlife biologist and environmental educator George L. Heinrich.
The Wildlife Ecology Camp runs July 8 to 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the Herpetology Camp runs from July 15 to 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. They are limited to 30 participants each, based on the sign-up date and receipt of the $150 registration fee.
