Gypsy Gallardo, Editor
Gypsy has an unyielding passion for Black progress. She is a career-professional in political, economic and business development. As President of G3 Media and other ventures, has worked with dozens of organizations - private, public and non profit - to finance, fund, market and launch new products, businesses and movements. She holds a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University's Kennedy School, with concentrations in International Trade & Finance and Political & Economic Development, and a Bachelor of Arts with dual majors in English Literature and Liberal Studies and dual minors in Philosophy and Spanish from Kentucky State University's Whitney Young College of Leadership. Her work has included helping the South African Ministry of Trade expand exports from a nationwide network of 2,000 Zulu artisans during the country's transition to majority rule; leading a team of 5 firms to attract new exporters into the U.S. Department of Commerces global database; publishing Florida's first statewide directory of the micro business industry; and building a portfolio of $75 million in new commercial development projects in Florida's blighted communities. Gypsy has taught macro and microeconomics at the undergraduate and graduate levels for Eckerd College and Schiller International University, and as Graduate Assistant to World Bank Economist Alfred Schipke. She is Publisher & Editor of The Power Broker Magazine. Gypsy's early business writing has appeared in The Miami Herald, The Miami Times, The Connection Quarterly News, and The Corporate Coordinators & Buyers Guide to Diversity published by the Florida Regional Minority Business Council. She was Founder & Chairperson of The Power On! Campaign, an effort that produced an historic voter turnout among African Americans in St. Petersburg, Florida during Election 2004. Together with an Executive Committee of 5 Democrats, 4 Republicans and 4 Independents, Gypsy helped marshal 300+ volunteers from 50 organizations, conduct the first independent election monitoring effort in the City, and host the nationally acclaimed Hip Hop Summit Action Network for its first visit to St. Petersburg. Gypsy is the Statewide Chairperson for the NAACP's Economic Development Committee, and a Board Member with Mt Zion Human Services, Inc.
Lonnie Donaldson
Lonnie is 'the grassroots' at their finest, and an expert in local Black media. Recently honored with the Perkins T. Shelton Humanitarian Award, Lonnie lives, eats, and breaths 'community': from voter mobilization, to youth development, from advocacy to leadership. Lonnie is gifted with an intimate knowledge of Black politics in Pinellas County - the policies, players and precincts - past & present. He spent 22 years with The Weekly Challenger, the first and still largest independent Black newspaper in St. Petersburg, and 2 years with The PeaceSonian News.
Eddie Johnson, III
Pure creative energy and President of ejae3 Designs, Eric has a talent for plucking words from the air to create beautiful designs. Currently a director of a marketing team for a large non-profit corporation, Eddie is an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and a young leader.
Keisha Pickett
Consumate soror, alumnae, and socialite, Keisha is President of Unforgettable Occasion, Inc. Her specialty - special events and public relations, with unmistakable brand appeal. She loves to play, but knows how to take care of business for a budding group of corporate clients and civic organizations.

He's spent 30 years photographing the community - through the movement, to MLK's mountain top, to the present rebirth of our media, history, and momentum. Former photographer for The Weekly Challenger, and owner/operator of B.L. Photos Event & Portrait Photography, Pop is the Official Photographer of The Power Broker Magazine.
