A memory play by two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage, Crumbs from the Table of Joy is told through Ernestine, a 17-year-old, African-American young woman whose family is dealing with their own realities of change in the early 1950s. Godfrey Crump, Earnestine's father, is left with the sole responsibility of raising his two maturing daughters in Brooklyn after moving from Florida following the death of his wife.
